How we think about it

What is search actually worth to you?

Not how many people search, but how much money is sitting in those searches. We start from what your buyers type in the weeks before they spend, which is rarely the phrase with the biggest number next to it.

Then we price it. What those searches are worth to you in revenue, how much of it you capture today, and why there is a difference between the two. That last part decides what the work would be, because a page nobody can find is a different problem from a page that does not answer the question.

Take this when you suspect search is the constraint and want the arithmetic before committing budget. If you are not sure the constraint is search at all, the Growth Diagnostic is the better starting point. How the engines work →

Questions we get

Before you call.

How is this different from a free SEO audit?
A free audit lists what is broken on your site. This one puts a number on what search is worth to you, measures what you capture today, and tells you what the difference costs to close. Broken things are easy to find and mostly do not matter. The gap is the part worth paying to know.
How do you work out what a term is worth?
We group the searches by what the person is actually trying to do, then ask you a few straightforward questions about your sales: what a customer is worth, how often an inquiry turns into one. From there we estimate what those searches would be worth to you if you held a top-three position for them. Every number we use is shown, so you can tell us where we have it wrong.
Do you need access to our analytics?
Yes. We connect to your analytics and Search Console so the numbers come from your own data rather than an estimate.
What if we are local rather than national?
We establish whether you are local, regional or national before anything runs, so the search volumes are as accurate as we can make them. For local businesses that also means showing where you appear across the map rather than giving you a single ranking.
What do we actually get?
A report in three acts. What the opportunity is worth and what you capture now, then the evidence behind those numbers so you can check them, then what we would do about it in the first ninety days. We walk you through it live, and the written report is yours to keep and share afterwards.
How do we fix it?
We can do the work, and most people ask us to. The report is yours either way, and it is specific enough that your own team or another agency could pick it up and run with it.
