The strategy call

Thirty minutes. Your objectives first.

Before we speak we run a free audit of your marketing, so the call starts with something real rather than with us asking what you do. No pitch, no obligation, and nothing to pay.

Start here to book yours.

Why it is worth your half hour

Most first calls are spent explaining your own business.

You answer questions about your website, your rankings and your competitors, all of which the person asking could have looked up beforehand. Then they recommend something. By the time the good questions would have come up, the half hour is gone.

So we look first. By the time we speak we have already been through your site, your visibility in your area, what you rank for and how that compares to the people you are up against. The call can then be about the things a scan cannot tell us.

What we cover

Three things, in this order.

01

What you are trying to reach

We start with where you are going and by when, not with what we sell. Everything after this depends on it.

02

What the audit found

We run a free audit of your site, your local visibility and your competitors before we speak, so we arrive with something to show you.

03

Where the gap is

Between what you want and what is currently happening. Sometimes that is obvious in thirty minutes. Sometimes it needs a proper diagnosis, and we will say which.

Worth bringing

Thirty minutes goes quickly.

None of this is required, and all of it makes the call better.

Your numbers

Whatever you have on spend, leads and close rate. Rough is fine. We are not auditing you, we are looking for the gap.

Your objective

What you are trying to accomplish and by when. That is where we start.

Whoever else decides

If someone has to sign off, have them on the call. It saves a round trip and they ask better questions.

Who it is for

Worth having if growth is not what it should be.

We work with B2B companies from $2M to $50M and up, typically investing $10,000 a month or more in marketing, including media.

If you are smaller than that, the call is still free and you are still welcome to book one. We will tell you honestly whether an agency is the right spend at your size.

Questions we get

Before you book.

Is this a sales call?
It is a first conversation, and we would obviously like to work with you. What it is not is thirty minutes of questions followed by a proposal for whatever we happened to want to sell. We look at your marketing before we speak so the time goes on your situation.
What does it cost?
Nothing, including the audit.
Who should be on it?
Whoever owns the number. If that is you, just you. If a partner or a board has to agree to anything that comes out of it, bring them.
What if we are not ready to buy anything?
Plenty of people are not, and the call is still worth having. You get a read on your marketing from people who look at this all day, and you will know what to fix whether or not we are the ones to fix it.
What happens afterwards?
Usually one of three things. Sometimes the gap is clear enough that we can scope the work there and then. Sometimes it needs a proper diagnosis first and we will tell you which one. And sometimes the answer is that your marketing is not the problem, which is worth thirty minutes to find out.
